AutoArt Is Releasing A Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody Diecast!

If the Hellcat Widebody/Demon were a bit too much, but the regular (narrow body) R/T Scat Pack Shaker wasn’t quite enough, AutoArt will soon have the perfect middle ground for you!

When it comes to AutoArt diecast models, their offerings usually fit into one of two categories: “High-end European” or “Asian”. The former meaning brands like Lamborghini (notoriously), Mclaren, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Porsche, and a couple others. The latter meaning exactly what you’d expect (Nissan, Honda, Toyota, etc). That said, every now and again, every once in a while, the team at Auto Art decide it’d probably be a good idea to replicate cars that don’t immediately fall into either category. Which, mercifully, means they sometimes look towards the good ol’ US of A for cars to miniaturize.

This time around, they’re producing a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody Shaker model! I know, quite the mouthful, but you’ll be able to empty it again once you see the colors they’re offering this new diecast in!

Straight away, it’s pretty clear this will be extremely familiar for anyone who’s purchased the Demon or Widebody Hellcat models before. If you were hoping for a Challenger model with a vastly different appearance to its brothers, then your complaint should be levied at Dodge and not AutoArt. However, the Scat Pack R/T Widebody Shaker will receive different colors than its brothers. Here’s the list:

-Hellraisin

-Indigo Blue

-Sinamon Stick

-Smoke Show

Now that is what I call a solid list of colors! Hellraisin is a fantastic modern classic, Indigo Blue offers a welcome hue change from B5, Sinamon Stick makes a return appearance from its days on the Hellcat Widebody, and Smoke Show joins the party to satisfy all the muted gray lovers out there.

If I had one (or two) critiques, it’s that I would’ve preferred the use of a color other than Sinamon Stick. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful color, but it’s been used before –ironically– on the very similar looking Hellcat Widebody. This undermines the Scat Pack Widebody Shaker’s ability to differentiate itself from that model, which is my exact critique for the reuse of the Devil’s Rim wheels too. And for the record, I also love those wheels.

Overall, this is a very welcome –if a rather familiar– release and I’m glad to see AutoArt’s continued interest in replicating and miniaturizing Dodge models. One can only hope they’ll soon make the jump to the Charger lineup as well…
