With the recent release of the 1500 Silverado, Chevrolet has already teased it’s bigger brother: The 2500 HD (or the 3500 HD).

Hard to tell from the picture, but no matter how you slice it, Chevrolet is getting ready (in 18 months) to unveil the next-generation Silverado HD models. Joining the likes of the recently revealed 1500 Silverado and also recently revealed 4500/5500/6500 HD model of trucks.

We don’t have details on specifications at this moment in time. With that being said, Chevrolet has stated that more details will be provided next year. Moving onto what we can see, the hood scoop from the previous generation HD Silverado has made it onto the new truck (we’ll have to wait to see if it’s functional like before). A similar split, horizontal front-end like on the 1500 Silverado has made it onto the new truck… albeit with a few; hard to see, tweaks.

Moreover, on-road testing for this new truck will begin sometime in the (apparently near) future. So we might not have to wait too long to see how this truck differs from it’s smaller sibling.

Chevrolet has also stated that production will start in the third quarter of 2019. Rolling off the assembly lines in Flint, Michigan.
