Hey everyone! Welcome to what is possibly the last ViperDex update of 2025. Though it was slow for most of the year with the ViperDex, two important updates were pushed out. First came the Gen 3 Year-by-Year changes, then the Viper Registries. And now, we have another addition to the registries and another update for the Gen 3 portion of the ViperDex.

For the registries, I was able to do something different than all the previous entries. Centered around the Gen 2 Indianapolis 500 cars, I had the opportunity to properly add the Registry into the ViperDex! As in you can genuinely scroll through the registry, checking out VINs, build dates, and so on. This was made possible by fellow Gen 2 Indy 500 owner Dave Horn and Thomas Benvie, who’re the masterminds for the registry itself. Shoutout to Dave for letting me know he had this!

For the Gen 3 portion of the ViperDex, Concept Cars were added! The page isn’t complete right now, but two concept cars have the vast majority of their available information posted on the page. Though it must be said, the Carbon Concept is just a link to an article I wrote about it a couple years ago. Formatting and some other mental hurdles need to be crossed before it gets properly integrated to the ‘Dex, but that article is chock full of juicy info!
Now a word about future updates…
While I was gathering information for a particular Gen 3 concept car, I was reminded how overlooked this era of the Viper is. I’ve got links to prior indexes for the first two generations of the snake, and information for the last two is pretty readily available, but when it comes to ZB I? No indexes exist past the 2004 model year, hardly any forum posts/threads about Gen 3 year by year changes, and more seem to have been lost to time. That’s why, for at least the next three updates, I’ll be focusing entirely on consolidating more Gen 3 Dodge Viper information. After that it could be business as usual (barring anything else changes during my research).
Thanks for reading this update.
