Back in early January, I wrote an article about the three worst cars I had driven in Forza Motorsport 7 at that time. Spoiler alert: It was the BMW M4 GTS. I said the car was fast in a straight, had excellent turn-in, but was too tail-happy. I thought this article was going to be about a car I drove that turned out to be worse.
As you figured out from the title, the car I’m talking about is the Bentley Continental. A vehicle I fully expected to be worse than the M4 GTS in every conceivable way. I expected to hate this car because I did when I first drove it.
… now I think it’s sort of OK. Here’s why:
(Quick note: This is just my impressions in-game. I’m not speaking about the car in real life).
It Has Good Power

With 700 horsepower and 750 lb-ft under your finger, the Continental Supersports certainly isn’t lacking in the go department.
Even when going up the hills of the Bernese Alps Reverse track, the Continental Supersports pulls itself up with surprising vigor. All 2.5-tons of it.
The Brakes Are Pretty Good

They’re not the best out there, but they do an impressive job in slowing this behemoth down. With that being said, the faster you go the less confidence inspiring they become. Just be smart when you choose when to brake and you’ll be fine.
It Can Have Hindenburg Levels Of Understeer

There is some bad news though, this Bentley has an understeer problem.
Some people would have you believe that it’s possible to go on the throttle in an AWD car much sooner than in a RWD car on corner exit (because four wheels are being powered). The Continental Supersports is not one of those cars. Quite the opposite is true, actually. You have to wait like you would in a RWD or FWD car before getting on the throttle. Take the Bernese Alps Reverse track, for example, if I were to get on the throttle just past mid-corner on the last turn (before the big straight), I’d be in the wall. I have to delay throttle input all the way till about 80-percent through the corner before I can mash the trigger. Even then, I still run the risk of tapping the wall.
Thankfully, keeping the car under load (less than half-throttle) doesn’t result in understeer so severe it shows up in a Disease Database. With that being said, it’s not hard to add just a tad too much throttle and start the understeering party all over again.
Trying to power out of a corner in the Continental Supersports reminds me of trying to power out in an upgraded Neon SRT-4 I had back on FM4. I put a racing diff on the car and proceeded to lock it… I’m sure you can imagine what happened every time I tried to power out of a turn…
All of this understeer is made worse by the track. See, the Bernese Alps Reverse track isn’t just a good example, it’s actually where I drove the Continental Supersports first. I was doing the Community Cycled Production multiplayer lobby one day and was given the Bentley on the aforementioned track. It was nearly a full lobby at the time, so I was nervous about how I’d do. Little did I know that this car would be harder to hustle around the track than Thanos is to fight. Imagine this: A noob to the reverse layout of Bernese Alps and to the Continental Supersports trying to have a competitive race. Obviously, I had my work cut out for me.
Like I said at the beginning, I hated the car as soon as I finished the first lap. If you’re trying to get someone used to the Forza physics system, the Continental is not a good beginner car. With that being said, if you’re careful and have some experience, you can get the Bentley around the Alps in a pretty brisk manner.
Basically (and this is true of most cars): Be smooth.
“Does It Have An Oversteer Problem?”

Not really. Unless you absolutely chuck into the bends with no throttle, then you might experience some mild oversteer problems. Otherwise, it’s pretty composed, to be honest.
“Would It Be Interesting To Race Online?”

It would be interesting to race online. Although, I wouldn’t recommend doing so. You’re going to have far more understeer than most and you’re not going to be able to carry the same corner speed. Would it be “interesting” to race the Continental Supersports online? Yes. Would it be fun? I don’t think it would be.
Overall, I think it’s OK. It has tons of power, is pretty composed, makes a great noise, but has far too much understeer past half-throttle in some turns. It’s definitely better than I was originally going to give it credit for. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still worse than the M4 GTS (no surprise there), but you can eke out some good pace from the big Bentley if you’re smoother than the criminal that killed Annie.
