This is a creation I’ve had for about a year
While the color scheme isn’t perfect, it does the job pretty well. Before I continue, please ignore the “flat” gear knob. I’m working on a better one (compared to the previous ones) and haven’t quite finished it yet. This isn’t the first “version” of the transmission though. I’ve had many many previous ones spanning to I think 2013 (maybe 2012). The current version is the most polished though. It’s also the most compact. Making it pretty easy to put in the backseat of the family Tiguan. That aside, you’ve got 6 speeds with two reverse gears (mostly to suit the car in any given scenario). It has a fairly short throw and pretty tight gates. And to state the obvious, it’s a gated shifter.
Not totally because I want it to be, but because I can’t figure out how to put some kind of cloth over it without the cloth getting stuck in the gates of the transmission. The photo gallery is below.
