The Ellsworth Racing Team might be the craziest bunch of track rats I know. They’ve drifted Vipers in the snow, cut it close to deadlines more often than I can count (and still make it on time), work on their cars in a way only proper mechanics can, travel thousands of miles between events on absurd schedules, and do this with arguably the mother-of-all Pro-Touring Dodge Challengers…
No, that isn’t an AI generated video or a racing game. That is a real-deal 1970 Dodge Challenger being absolutely manhandled around an autocross course at Laguna Seca. However, as you might’ve guessed, it isn’t just any 1970 Dodge Challenger. This one in particular has been Hellcat-swapped, Viper-chassis swapped, and built by the Ellsworth Family and friends themselves (of which they have a video series chronicling the creation of this magnificent beast). Indeed, this classic muscle car is something of a family affair, and Robert here is driving it like he hasn’t put hundreds if not thousands of hours into the thing. Hard. Core.
Anyway, there’s your dose of Awesome Things On The Internet, let me know what you think and make sure to follow Ellsworth Racing on their social media channels for more Mopar Madness.
